Queen Street Murals PDF Print E-mail

Tracing our Heritage at Queen Street

Gentlemen, for those of us who grew up in Queen Street, these photos would surely bring back fond memories.

These murals have been painstakingly restored to its former glory. The old Catholic High School building at 222 Queen Street (中学部) has been refurbished and transformed into a Private Art Centre. We are glad that our fellow  Old Boy, Daniel Teo, has decided to preserve a vital piece of our Heritage and in so doing, given us all the chance to go back to school.

It is in knowing our roots that we chart the way forward. We would thus like to appeal to anyone who has any knowledge about these murals to share with us your stories. We are all familiar about the story of Michalangelo and his painting in the Sistine Chapel. One day our grandchildren might even be equally fascinated with stories of the painter(s) who painted the Catholic High Murals! So, if you know who the painters actually are, what they might be doing now, why they painted what they painted, please share them with us. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
